Try adding the following to the Device section of xorg.conf:
Option "ModeValidation" "NoVertRefreshCheck"
It helped! X started with resolution 1680x1050 with vert refresh rate 50Hz. Do you know when driver update is supposed to come out that will fix the refresh rate?

The refresh rate probably isn't actually 50 Hz. What does "nvidia-settings -q RefreshRate" say?

hey everyone!

i have installed linux one more time on my machine and again x.config makes trouble. in the attachment you can have a look on my nvidia-bug-report.log
it wont be too difficult, though.
