I'm going to play around with Crysis again in anticipation of Crysis Warhead next week. However I haven't played around with Crysis configs in 10 months now and I can imagine that other people have been perfecting formulas and making progress the past year.
I've been around a bit and as far as I can see the two biggest are the CCC Config and Mster Config (currently at version 2.21 and 3.1 respectively). So cast your vote: CCC, Mster or other ![]()

Two different shadow settings. Extras: UltimaRage ToD, Assassins's AI tweak, Doomlord's AI tweak. What do you pick? I'm thinking about going lvl5, realistic shadows, +ToD, no AI tweaks.

Other.
I haven't tried the CCC one but I thought the Master config actually made the game look worse. What I mostly prefer is just the standard DX10 very high settings but, now with the new monitor I'm going to have to save some of my spending cash for about 2 months so I can go Tri-SLI and enjoy the 1920x1200 goodness.

I'm installing the CCC right now on my laptop, DX9 Lvl 5. I have it installed on my main rig right now too. Dx10, Lvl 6 CCC is where its at for people who don't want to make their own config.

I used to use Mster config, but now I use CCC @ lvl 5, it looks great imo.

In general, is there any problem in installing and then uninstalling any of the configs if you would want to try the out one by one? I see that some of them also overwrite some level files, that's why I'm wondering..

Sure, mster cuts back details on the little things that you don't really notice unless you start playing screenshot jockey and start nitpicking.
In all reality, I think the Mster config is the best because it gives a good FPS increase (I'm rocking 40 FPS benchmarks) and I don't visually say to myself during playing that it looks any worse than the high end visual configs. And I think we can all agree that that's the name of the game. All other configs only give me 30fps at most during GPU benchmarks and after loading any of them then to EITHER mster config (as both performance and visual config files yield much higher FPS) I honestly see no negative impact on the visuals. I've stared at the graphical details in crysis more hours than I can count and though I can see little things here and there once I stop to scrutinize the surroundings, during game play, between the high end graphical configs and either mster config, the only difference I notice is the extra 10 fps when using the mster config. When you stop judging these mods from the pics and just load em up and play, that's when you'll come to a much more meaningful conclusion on which you like better. one thing I do think everyone should get down on is the Rygel texture mod. It'll make any graphic config better.

Ok I guess I'll have to try them both out then..
Ah this one? Haven't seen that anywhere else! http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=117949 Does it conflict with any mod in any way?

I need to play though Crysis again with either CCC or mster + rygel textures.
In CCC installation is there any good explanation what all those settings do?
