Firstly, Here's a build log http://nopaste.com/p/aL268D6nY
I was wondering if there's a patch for os-interface.c (and any other applicable files) for the most recent -mm1 (and perhaps just 2.6.27-rc5) kernels. I briefly tried to get 173.14 to compile before moving on to 177.70, thinking it would hopefully 'just work'.. But it didn't. and since, I've been trying to get 177.70 to compile under 2.6.27-rc5-mm1 to no avail. I get the same die error attempting to either module, Code:
os-interface.c:1417: error: ‘struct task_struct’ has no member named ‘cap_effective’ .Last edited by igneous; 09-08-08 at 02:55 PM. Reason: minor typos, etc |

Thank you for your report. This is a known problem, please see http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=118805 for an interim solution. We will address the capabilities API changes in a future NVIDIA Linux graphics driver release.
