Results. I loaded both your config and the mster quality config in both DX9 and DX10. Looks like I'll be continuing to rock DX9 for quite a while... and running it in 64 bit mode (though not shown on benchmark testing) lowers FPS even further

Btw, i know how to remove the blurriness, just remove e_depthOfField 2 and put 1 instead. But perhaps you meant something else? Anyway mster's looks better than the extreme one in those pics, but i'd like to do a final comparision with the vanilla and also HP's if oppertunity is allowed!
Well, as I said earlier, it's best not to judge from screenshots but what you see when you actually play. There are obviously configs that give you much better visuals but at a huge FPS hit.

Here's some compares I did today.

Im using vanilla very high as a reference point here. Circled in the vanilla pic are key points
where the configs differ the most. There are many more differences, and I mean many more on later levels. None are perfect by far, many have glitches and graphical artifacts, some even fix these things.

Vanilla Very High

I picked this scenery for its broadview, circled are changes of mountain detail,
water reflections, objects on catwalk, shadows etc.

These comapre shots are at the same postion and same TOD.

Hp's config:

Extreme config:

CCC 2.21 lvl 6:

xconfig highest lvl:

Here's another round. I installed CCC 2.21 lvl 5. lvl 6 netted 16 fps. I also pulled up my old config file which I think is better than mster quality (POM on).

It's SSAO and HDR are just perfection IMO. Aside from lighting, draw distance seems to be the biggest difference between mine and the MSTR performance. I'll go through tomorrow night and mess with my own config's draw distances to see what can be sacrificed.

Very nice jmanrob! But why so small pictures? Easier to determin the quality if they are big, like 1600x1200 or 1680x1050.

Btw, Bwhahahah!!! CCC 2.21 lvl 6: looks like shiet.. what a bunch of noobs *captnkill*

I'm digging the TOD color alteration in that Xconfig shot. The shadows look more realistic in it as well.

runs off to investigate...

WTF fastponycar, those result doesn't match mine at all. I really want them to though because I'd love to have 38FPS average with a config that looks so relatively good (would look 10x better without the damn distance blur though.. any idea how to switch that off?). Can you give me a link to that benchmark program, then I'll reinstall Crysis to be safe, then run a few benchmarks myself!

Keep in mind, all mine were run with rygel's textures, ALL of them run in 32 bit mode and DX9 mode clearly offers more FPS with zero visual drawbacks when using these configs.
