The 120 Hz LaserVues are promised to provide a brightness of 500 nits, 3D viewing capability and consume less than 200 watts, which would actually be only half of some other 65” LCD TVs. 65” plasma TVs can consume more than 500 watts.

Never heard of a laser TV before. I'll have to read up one these.

I have to say, using lasers for anything that people are going to stare at for hours on end seems a bit odd.

Heh, I don't even want or need a tv but a top quality 60" for $1000 would probably find its way to my home rather quickly.
