hi people ,
the scope of problem is very simple. After i have tried to install about 5-7 times redhat 9 from cdrom and before to install it one time more i thought why not to install it next times from hard drive just to spare time and get more installation per time unit. As the installation manual say it is possible to install redhat also from a FAT formatted partition. So after copying 3 iso images to that partition i have choosen in the installation menu to istall linux from the hard drive. When i have tried to point the installer the place where the images were it simply could not find them. All partition were created with partion magic 8 Any ideas what i did wrong ? Thanks in advance Yuri |

I have to ask: did you actually run the self-check on the RedHat CDs? Every time I've had a hard time installing RH, bad CDs have been to blame.

hi,
yes the first time i did it , after that i've tried 7 times to install or even more, the problem can also be bound with CD-Drive. In the worst case i can burn cd's again but it is not the best way of solving problems , isn't it ? _) |
