No, it's an older card. The new GTX 280 FTW is better in SLI.

Why bag on Monster? I get 60% off If I need a cable of any kind that's just what I'll do.

If you can't do a lateral move then you're hooped anyways... until early 2009(?) when they go to gt212, me thinks... http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=119120 Vanz |

All that I am saying is that if he had known that you cannot make a lateral move with step-up, he could have saved his money and just purchased the refresh when it comes out. Instead, he purchased the two GTX280s to use in SLI now, but also as a ticket to get the GTX280 refresh through step-up. Now, if he still wants the GTX280 refresh, he'll have to pay full price.

There's alot of bashers and haters on the forum these days but that's okay. I really don't care what or who says what about me because when it comes down to it, You really wouldn't worry or give a rat's ass about what others say about you if you really only knew how often they actually did think about you. Now, if you have positive suggestions or would like to share you're differences with out a bunch of stupid asinine remarks then please step-up to the plate. If not then just shut the **** up!

I thought Evga would let you upgrade to a faster card even if it is the same model.I bought BFG this time and I have had great luck with my cards .They offer a 100 day step-up and they will let you set-up to a faster card of the same make. The first BFG I bought was a BFG GTX 280 OCX (666/1458/2400) and the secound one ,I bought a plain BFG GTX 280 (602/1296/2214),but I can upgrade to the BFG GTX 280 OC or OC2 or the OCX.But I have no reason to since my plain one will overclock to 702/1512/2592. So I just put my BFG GTX 280 OCX in the first slot and they both run at 666/1458/2400.
