Hell the flame thrower alone can make this an awsome game. Has everyone seen the latest 3d screen shot?

Once downloaded, click and grab the image to move 360 degrees. It may take a few second to download

If you're having problems viewing the quicktime VR movie, you can use this link to download.

Also when I was out there a few months ago, I met a number of Castle Wolfenstein developers now working on CoD WW ( it kind of shows you where they got the idea of the flame thrower )

Also a big part of Treyarch is GreyMatter the guys who brought you CoD UO (again where they got the ideas of vehicles in MP)

Hey give it a shot, there will be a MP demo, so you can then make an educated guess on how the final game will play and look.

I'd love to see some further shader improvements, so we can get away from texture-on-surface look, and more "real" environments, that and some nice post effects (quality motion blur). Then maybe some screen-space ambient occlusion (SSAO) as well, and perhaps real-time lighting, no more baked lighting.

Either way, Call of Duty 4 is a great game, though ironically I like the singleplayer a lot more than the multiplayer.

Nope still using the CoDTech engine (highly modified Q3 engine) thus there is no DX10 version of the game.

They have done some amazing things with this engine and it shows. Treyarch has also tweaked it with some cool physics stuff like the fire and water effects.

They showed us how different objects are effected by the water and fire. You will be suppirsed on how far they have taken the CoD4 base engine to the next level.

Oct is what Activision is telling us and the general public. However Josh (community manager for Treyarch) was away from the office last week so I have no new info.

BTW, there should be a MP demo for both the xbox and PC. Don't know the status of a PS3 MP demo just yet.
