i'm trying to run this game on XP32 gamer settings @ 1280x1024 with 2xAA like i did with Crysis, but it dosn't run nearly as good? well it does untill the game auto saves or goes to the next level then my fps plummit. memory leak? fun game though ...

XP32bit will see exactly 3,2GB of RAM if you have 4GB installed so it MIGHT help, BUT my warhead doesn't use more than 2GB (including all other running processes) so you're fine in this regard IMO... don't listen to Nekro's RAM mantra plx.

The "r_TexturesStreaming 0" in an autoexec file helps me on both Crysis games. Looks great and gives me back a few fps.

Other than that, this game is a good deal buggy imho.

Have to reset to fullscreen every time I start the game.

Falling through objects in many areas.

Very glitchy AI. I can walk right up to and past them at times.

Game will randomly go to menu, almost always during a heavy firefight.

Still had some fun with it, but the original is still best imho.

Just got it, enjoying it so far decent Performance in DX10/Enthusiasts/1680x1050 4xAA hiccups here and there.

Couldn't stand the default "red" hud so that promptly had to be changed, noticing a few bugs too. AI still isn't that sharp on Delta. And i'm not using a config yet, but its not as pretty as Crysis.

Just finished Warhead. A bit short. I already heard it was short, but still... It was a nice experience though but I can't shake the feeling that I enjoyed the original Crysis more, even if this game ran better. The ending was good although the boss could have been tougher IMHO.


Good game, now I feel the urge to play Crysis over again. And I still have Crysis Wars to try out.

Wow. Just installed under XP and it's so much better. I can now run max settings just fine. Looks great. I'm still surprised how a modern game like Crysis can run so poorly under Vista, yes so well under XP.

I ran it in dx9 mode, using steam I changed the gamespy comrade folder so it wouldn't ask for install, also changed the video folder (but that removes the intro vid etc) probably best to rename the trailer video files.

Had the game set to GAMER settings, then put this cfg file in, you guys could probably bump the vegey detail up. I'm only running a x2 5600+ and a 2900xt. It's far from max of course.
