Default DAMAGE and COMPOSITE related issues

As an answer to

(I didn't want to take the thread further offtopic)

I'd be interested in a solution as well.

An easy way to reproduce this is to use the qtcurve-qt4 style, set the menu item highlights to gradients, open a qt4 app (good example: vlc), open a menu and hover over the entries.

The problem was not there with 177.76 but reappeared with 177.78.

For those using qtcurve: a easy workaround is to use flat highlights instead of gradiants.

Using the Composite wrapper doesn't help.

This is a jfyi.
