Default gnome-terminal text corruptions in 177.78, but not .76

I switched back this weekend. (Nearly everything I do uses gnome-terminals, so I'd realize this pretty immediately). What would happen is if you'd do something like Ctrl-Z out of "vi", do something else then switch back, you'd (sometimes) get missing text 'till you "Ctrl-L" to redraw the screen.

It didn't appear to show up 'till after a suspend/resume cycle.

(I know this is a sucky report, and w/o a bug-report.sh, so if you really have to have one I'll drop everything, revert to .78, file one, then submit.)
