Default 177.13 + Fedora 8 = random crash on full screen apps

Hi all,

I just want to report a serie of crashes I've experienced recently. They occurs only with full screen apps: OpenGL screensaver, full screen wine (Track Mania Nation Forever) for example. Sometimes after some time (I can't be more specific as I did not see any patterns) the screen becomes black. The computer is not "dead" as it computer can be rebooted cleanly by Alt+Ctrl+Del. Nevertheless the screen remains black even when if I try to switch to/from VT.

I've try to use the pci=nommconf kernel flag and though it solves the problem as I did not encounter the bug for a few days... But it is still here Is there any test I can do to help you, Nvidia guys?

Yours,

Erwan

Oops, I forgot this one. The issue was later fixed when my Quadro NVS 110M has been changed after a "black screen/no screen" syndrom. My guess is that was some previous hint that the ardware was starting to fail...
