It worked before, but not any more...
DFI 790FX MB, @GB RAM, +5400 CPU, Relaxed timing...
Kernel (G2) version 2.6.25r4 with nvidia current drivers (virtually any one) worked great.
Updated kernel (with very same .config file) to version 2.6.26r1
And now _any_ nvidia driver/X server fails to load with error opening /dev/nvidia0;
[ 74.466498] NVRM: failed to copy vbios to system memory.
[ 74.466718] NVRM: RmInitAdapter failed! (0x30:0xffffffff:898)
[ 74.466732] NVRM: rm_init_adapter(0) failed

Re-booting with kernel 2.6.25r4 fails to load because install script linked new kernel.
Re-installing nvidia drivers causes the same problem to occur with 2.6.25r4 (which
worked perfectly until the re-install of the nvidia driver was attempted unser 2.6.26r1.
I tried both using 'emerge' and just running the sh-archive/script - same result.
I failed to debug further as rm_init_adapter() appears to be part of the binary.
I am also loosing my eye-sight and any extended screen viewing is very difficult and
