Though I am fairly certain the fault was in / with the individual Apps or games programming and not Vista. Regardless of where the fault lied it I meant that Vista was not a viable choice for use as my primary Os at the time.

my need for those apps has since changed so I have been thingking about giving Vista another go.

I waited for SP1 to be out before i installed and try Vista again, before that, i tried it with i think RC2, with my GX2..left horrible memories...

Infact from the first vista sp1 install i have not even gone back to XP yet...

IF Micro$oft try and charge for an upgraded version of Vista I think it will turn alot of Computer savvy poeple Elsewhere. And in a sad way I hope it does. Maybe it would stimulate the open source wolrd a lot more.

in that case i won´t need to buy win7 ?

unless it has DX11 and, nvidia and ati drops dx10 for 11 then it is a different matter. And vista and xp are bye bye for once dx11 comes, vista is useless if it don´t get it somehow

well vista ultimate costs about 5000SEK (swedish kronor) wich is almost a half months salery in Sweden depending what kind of job you got of course.

that is approx 719.3764 USD

so what won´t vista ultimates version of WIN 7 cost 6K(SEK)

Wow, that's marked up. In the states, it began at $400 which is about 2731SEK. Hopefully it comes down a bit.

all new features in W7, will first show up around time Vista SP2 gets released.

when W7 gets released it will have all those features plus updated look and core of vista.
