I subscribe to it for a month and rent as many movies as I can. Then I cancel my subscription. I wait for 4 months till a bunch of movies I want are out and then sign up again. It is a great deal and you don't waste money during the months there isn't anything out.

I just found this amazing bit of software. its called vmcnetflix. its a plugin for Vista Media Center. Once installed you can access netflix from the 360 or htpc just like from the browser. And you can also play stuff directly on your tv through the 360. This is gr8 because I just read you need Live Gold to access netflix officially once it is activated in their fall update. This way I can save the 8 dollars pm!!!

Wow, that would make it worth it to get the 360. How much is Live Gold per month or however they charge?

you can buy 1 month cards for 7.99, 3 month for 18.99 and 1 year for 49.99. I have seen the 1 year cards sell for as low as $35 on Amazon and other places!!
