Dude it's a well known fact since the first week crysis was released that you get a significant drop in FPS when running in DX10.
Just use a custom configuration file like everyone else and run the game in DX9 mode. The blur effect may not be quite up to par with DX10 rendering but you'll get everything else DX10 offers.

I'm dissapointed at the DX10 performance but then again, every game that is DX10 capable runs slower in DX10 mode except for the unreal engine games like GOW and Bioshock but those stay locked at 60 fps all the time so the machine really isn't being challenged in the first place. I think Clear sky is a step in the right direction but the FPS difference in games like call of juarez, lost planet, crysis, etc when using DX10 vs DX9 is night and day difference in performance. Makes me think it's not these game engines fault but DX10's fault.. or maybe just a fundamental lack of understanding of DX10 coding. Who knows. I'm no coder so I don't know much about any of that. All I know is that the unreal engine is the only engine that can successfully run in DX10 mode without a major drop in FPS.

****ty engine? Are you kidding? CE2 is a brilliant accomplishment in terms of both technology and graphics. So it doesn't give 75FPS in DirectX10, big deal. Crysis's performance is pretty good considering the insanely detailed graphics it churns out. Kudos to Crytek for pushing the graphics of this generation, atleast they aren't sitting around twiddling their thumbs like Epic/Ubisoft.
