Default Crash x server with more 2 G of ram

Hi all,

I have red a lot of post about this problem but i have never found a right solution for me.
I can't use 3 g of ram on my pc. When i try to use more than 2 g x doesn't work fine.
As i have read in some discussion a memory allocation error occurs, probably coused by a bios bug (my motherboard is an ASUS)

I try to post here my X.serv.log file hoping someone can suggest me a right way to solve the problem:

Thanks a lot

I have partially solved the problem changing "Card aperture size" from 64M to 32M in the bios settings. The message i obtain in dmesg is the following one:

Checking aperture...
Node 0: aperture @ d0000000 size 32 MB
Aperture too small (32 MB)
Your BIOS doesn't leave a aperture memory hole
Please enable the IOMMU option in the BIOS setup
This costs you 32 MB of RAM
Mapping aperture over 32768 KB of RAM @ 4000000
PM: Registered nosave memory: 0000000004000000 - 0000000006000000
Memory: 3059740k/3145408k available (2546k kernel code, 85264k reserved, 1207k data, 400k init)

In the options of kernl i have added this: "iommu=memaper=0" to reduce the lost size of memory ram. Setting oimmu=maper to 1 i lost 64M of ram.
