Radeons kick butt in Warhammer Online!

This is nice. I was considering getting rid of my 4850 for a GTX260 until I seen this.

I tried my 8800GTS with it and wasn't near as happy with the performance as with my current 4850. It was acceptable, but just slower across the board. I average around 60-80 or so now. With the 8800, I averaged about 40-60. Both at 1680x1050 4xAA 8xAF.

Yeah, Im having no issue with 8xAA/16xAF @ 1400x900.

I did read it. My point is I have a 8800gts and it runs fine and you don't need the newest card for this game because it doesn't stress good equipment from the last generation.

with higher settings, keep battles with alot of people can really bring my 8800GT to its knees.
so when going into a longer RVR fight over a keep I some times set the game to the "Fastest Framerate" setting.

I dunno. In R3Ds WAR thread it seemed like a lot of the dudes over there were having issues with this game using Radeons. I may be wrong but that's just what pops in to my head when reading this thread.

I run the game ok with a 8800 GTS 512 at 1920x1200, 2xaa and 8xaf. 4x aa or plus and forget about it. Also 16xaf is doable but not as smooth as I want it so I went at 8x. I do however love eye candy so it's killing my I can't eun at max on these two settings.

I don;t want to upgrade though becasue of the **** economy. Must.......resist.......reeesissstt.

Isnt that the problem though?
people stop buying stuff in a consumerbased economy.. do your bit, buy some hardware!

Well, maybe in a true consumerbased economy. Unfortunally ours is all about fraud and assrapeing the low to middle class. So, instead of living with a bit of luxury, I live little more frugal.

So yes, at this time I'm a bad little consumer. I'm greedy, hording my own money I guess. :/ Maybe the consumer police will come and beat me in to spending submission.
