Hi guys
Unlike the previous 2 BiA games I note there is no option to enable AF in-game. Does this have to be set via graphics card control panel ? Does the game support AA unlike Road to Hill 30 and Earned in Blood ? cheers |

Am I missing something with this game? Its just not fun. Too much going on trying to move men around. Weapons suck, direct head shots with the rifle do little damage. I find I'm trying to cover and the other guys are always outta position. Its very frustrating trying to play - the whole squad thing keeps me from actually enjoying this game at all.
Just tried to get into it again, advancing across a field and there are like 4 squads of enemies I have to push back. My guys keep getting shot no matter where I set them up and I'm running outta ammo cause there is so little damage done to the enemy, even headshots done kill them - wtf? At this point I would say it's more frustrating than anything and imo not fun at all. |

My Observations: Plays better than the two previous BIA titles and the graphics are improved, but as noted above, there is no native in-game AA. Basically if you liked the first two titles, you should enjoy this one as well. I am.

Well I wasn't planning on touching this game but a trusted friend said it wasn't too bad so I went ahead and picked it up. I'm a little over 50% complete. First I really like the G15 LCD support, it's pretty cool and shows mission objectives. Gameplay wise I can't say it's any different than the other BIA. suppress flank, suppress flank, fire rocket, suppress flank. I haven't had much of an issue with difficulty but the AI could be sharper. I've found I can't let the squads just follow or they're all over the place. When commanding them to move they've just run out in the open and died when a much better covered route was right in front of them. I've found it best to move them step by step to their destination. It would be nice to have a hold command or a way to direct them without line of site like in the map view of Ghost Recon. After completing a section of the map previous sections get locked off and I've had my guys get stuck behind a locked gate. Since it normally saves at this point I just reload the save and the guys load on the correct side. The level of detail is no where near the bullshots first shown but they aren't to shabby either pretty sharp and I like all the DOF. Without a good amount of AA jaggies everywhere, reminds me of the first BIA. I've been playing @ 1600x1200 forcing 4xAA 16AF in the CP and see about a 30fps average, anything higher and I dip down below 20fps. W/O AA I see about 60fps. Both my cores hover around 90-95%. Overall not a bad game, much better than expected and I'm glad I picked it up.

There's no DX10 in current PC version.
Anyone tried MP yet? Is it as bad as i'm hearing?

Those PC screen grabs don't look much better than the console demo, which is a shame. Any way to force more AA or AF?
For the guy who complained about headshots not killing people, you must not be hitting their head... one head shot not only kills, but starts a gross zoom in animation as well. |

I am having a problem with this game. I can't get past the opening rendered cinematics without the video starting to stutter, and then crash to blue screen fatal error.
Nothing is overclocked.
