pls help Nvidia Driver destroyed my console
pls help me I don't know how to go on.
I've been sitting on my computer for two nights without any results.
Heres my Hardware:
1024 MB DDR333
AthlonXp1600+ @2200+ (ok this is not the problem I tried it with standard clocks nothing changed!)
Fast Writes Off
As I am a noob and my english isn't very good pls write it simple.
I've changed my motherboard two days ago because the old one was broken!
Before the Nvidia drivers worked fine!
I reinstalled Suse and downloaded the rpms via Yast, so far so good.
3d acceleration is aktivated and works.
But I can't switch to the consoles anymore (with Ctrl+Alt+F2 - F5) All I get is a garbeld screen or something that looks like extremly zoomed in Text.
Same thing when I finish Kde/x and shutdown.
The Pc runs normal is just that the Screen is distorted.
Can anyone help me please, i'm going mad. Linux without console is no better than windows!
I have no clue what to do. Best thing is...I tried to unistall the driver via Yast, it says that it must be done by nvidia installer. so I tried with the --uninstall option. It says that there is no file nvidia-installer!?
I've just downloaded the .run file and tried it same thing!
What should I do?
And last the sound of this damn motherboard didn't work.

I've got the same trouble with my MDK9.1 on shuttle SN41G2 (all is ok with the nforce's drivers).
I have installed the last nvidia's drivers, it works fine, acceleration is ok, but when I switch to the F2-F5 screen I have a very very very big console on my 17" :-( (you just can write without seeing what you're writing). The same thing with the init 6, when the pc shutdowns.
How strange, if you have some answers......
