that is my point, comparing amount of torrents is not accurate

Well, as much as you want to kick and stomp, piracy is more rampant on PC then 360 hand over fist. The PS2 on the other hand, well that prolly rivals the PC. And dont spew this bull that the torrent numbers are lower cause people are renting. You gotta be f'ing kidding me.

I dont know what blockbuster you guys go to, but new releases in my neck of the woods are 10$ for the week. 2 games 20 dolla? Thats some serious jing for people who like things for FREE.

I'd say rent a copy is a major method in AU. Here internet is expensive and most ISPs wont offer more than 40Gb. So renting console and copy would be the major way for console. However, I actually know only one person who does this out of all my 360 buddies. I really wish they'd hurry up and ban him from live. Makes me sick everytime I see him online playing Rock Band. :

yeah, but you need to compare install base numbers. i wouldn't doubt that the percentages of pirates on all systems is very similar. the only DRM that truely seems to work at this point is the ps3 (courtesy of sony suing the retailer of a working mod chip)
