You probably need to update your Nvidia drivers.

Go to Administtrative Tools in the Control Panel and then look at the Storage Devices part of it. Is the drive visible there?

EDIT: I didn't explain that properly. Go to Admin Tools in Control Panel, then to Computer Management, then to Storage and then Disk Management. It should show all the drives connected to your computer. Is the drive there? If so, then it probably needs to be formatted which can be done by right-clicking I think or it may need mounting.

Oh. I see... sorry I didn't really understand what you meant before. I did think the topic title and what you posted didn't match up but now I get it.

Basically you want to install Vista to your secondary HDD - presumably you're already running XP or some other OS on your primary drive that you would like to keep as is - and during the Vista setup it finds the primary drive but not your secondary one. Is that right?

Are both the primary and secondary drives plugged in to the same controller on your motherboard e.g. sockets labelled SATA 1 and SATA 2? Check that both are detected in your BIOS setup screen.

If no change then unplug your primary drive and plug your secondary one in to the now vacant SATA port and try again.

Get an update for your BIOS from XFX and try after updating that...

I'm starting to run out of ideas...

Are you trying to install Vista from within XP?

Here's what I'd do. Delete the partitions on the new drive (using Disk Management or whatever). Then reboot and boot from the Vista install DVD. The second hard drive should show up there with no problems. Just choose it and create a partition on it.

DO NOT TRY TO INSTALL FROM WITHIN XP

Goodness. When you ask for help you really need to provide more info than you did mate! I'm not trying to have a go but you don't say anywhere that you were trying to install from within Windows rather than what I'd consider the obvious choice of booting from the DVD, which is in fact the correct way of doing it.

It won't do anything to your XP install. In fact if you ever need to do it all again from scratch, this is the correct way. Install XP first and then Vista second because then Vista's boot manager will supersede the one installed by XP.

Hope it works for ya.
