Loved the Flame Thrower in that video. Does anyone know if there is an option to play this in first person. Would be way cooler IMO.

Sorry I have to disagree with the 1st person mode... this game is designed around 3rd person. Being able to see how the character reacts to objects and situations is great.

Fair enough. I did enjoy Gears of War on the PC, but would have prefered 1st person at least as an option to try out.

I bought this for the PS3 today. Played until Chapter 4 with people watching. Great fun game. Completely immersive and at times spooky as well. Had me jump a few times.
As for impressions on the controller, I see no reason why this wouldn't translate over well to the mouse and keyboard. Personally I think the KB+M will be superior due to the combat being based on precision dismemberment. As for buying it on consoles first, simply put, unless you're a complete nut for playing this on your PC alone, or go thorugh the hassle of hooking it up to a big screen via HDMI and the surround sound system (I can't, since my room with this PC is too far from the living room), the type of game - at least for me - is more geared towards consoles. Having said that, I just might buy this on PC as well for the graphics, and what I assume, better controls. It's a pretty good game.

I find the text for the youtube link of the GT review interesting:
"Gametrailers Review for Dead Space. *This review has been removed from Gametrailers.com because of some unjust criticisms. I will post the "revised" one when its available." I wonder if GT officially stated that reason somewhere, or if he just guessed or if he works for GT.

probably editing out the criticism that they made about the inventory and how hard and cumbersome it was to look through your stuff for health during a fight. I guess that whoever reviewed the game never realized what the square button does...

Pre-ordered the PC version from Game.co.uk, hopefully I'll receive it close to release.
