Max. Over Clock for me with a PALiT GTX280 is 702/1512/1188.
This is on H2O with max. Temps. @ 52C during FutureMark Vantage. Edit....702/1512/1215 seems fine also.

Got my GTX 260 @ 702MHz clock core, 1404MHz shader clock & 1214MHz memory clock, i cant push the clock core or shader clock any higher because the card craps out while stress testing with ATi Tool & Furmark .... the memory i can have higher but i just don't like to push it to the wire so backed it down a little! .... my current overclock is rock stable under everything i have thrown at it, runs nice as well and only hits around 70c - 80c load(depends what im running)with a idle temp of around 41c, Im happy with that.

700/1403/2206 is the first thing I set my GTX 260 (192sp) to and its completely stable with no artifacts or errors. I might push it a little further some time but its working great just the way it is.
According the GPU-Z my pixel and texture fill rate is a tad higher than the GTX 280 and my bandwidth is only about 13% lower than the GTX 280. Not too bad for a $15 upgrade and a free game. ![]()

My new EVGA GTX260 216core is currently Oc'd to 704/1518/2110 and is rock solid. Played crysis for 45min no problems at all, and temps hovered around 60 degrees. I'm using the EVGA precision utility for the OC, w/ stock air cooling. I haven't reached my max OC yet....
Really don't need it right now. But I am curious just how far I can go with it.We'll see...... Kapt

Has anyone BIOS vmodded their card yet?
I vmodded mine last night via BIOS using this guide, i'm still testing clocks but 750/1550/2200 is game stable but temps are a "bit" on the high side. The main reason I flashed the BIOS was to set fan speed + default clocks to 700/1400/2100. |

I'm staying away from flashing mine right now. The reason is that I really don't need the OC to play my games maxed out, crysis being the exception. Until I need the OC for most of my games, I'll leave it alone. I run it at default speeds most of the time. I'll OC it when, and if, I need it.
Just my 2 cents...... Kapt

How many people here have experimented with multi clocking with SLI? Just a flexibility feature that sometimes can be useful. Since you can mix and match different vendors nowadays and different clocked boards. You can run a handful of SLI clocks nowadays. Useful if one card will overclock higher than the other. There are slight benefitsto doing this performance wise. Much like SLIng a 9800GTX with a 9800GTX +.
But my GTX 260-216 running with 2 260- 192's running different shader clocks is just an example. Lots of flexibility here. ![]()

I BIOS flashed my card the day after i got it lol, the first day was spent finding stable overclocks & safe temps .... ive flashed the card to the clock speeds in my sig and flashed the fan speed so it runs at 60% idle 24/7, right now my cards at 41c.
