Left 4 Dead demo is coming out tomorrow and I'm hooked on Fallout 3. I hope I can find time to finish Far Cry 2!

re-appearing enemies should have been done differently, if you are attacking a building to gain some intel from one. Enemies would see you, either use a flair (ala Crysis) or call in for back-up. Jeep or two would show up and that is it.

something tells me that I will not play this for long, already bored with it.

I was bored and not that impressed up to about 12% when I started getting a little more in depth figuring out how the weapon system worked etc. Most of the time you can just drive right through a village and they will shoot at you but if you keep driving they only chase some of the time.

I still think this game is fantastic, but I do have a few cons...

1) Enemy camps should not respawn so fast. I can see them getting fixed and repopulated after a few days, but enemies show up again after a few minutes (when I leave the vicinity and return).

2) Lack of realistic stealth. I'm easily spotted at night trying to sneak around and I can't swap into enemy clothes to fool them.

Otherwise, great game.

Important question.

I need to re-buy FC2 as my current disc recently got badly cracked. Question is, will the new disc's activation key force me to reinstall the game? And will it cause me to loose my current game saves?

i think you gonna have to reinstall the game, just backup C:\Users\Name\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 2 folder. Maybe it will ask you if you want to save you saved games.. but just incase backup it

This is a funny comment considering others have stated the stealth is awesome. Are you wearing the camo suit? Are the guys looking in your direction when you move?

From my experience it's more realistic than most other games, as it's much harder, and I've not had any problems following real world tactics. The eye catches movement very easily, so make sure you are not moving until they look away. If you sit still in some grass at a reasonable distance they wont spot you. If you are going to get real close you better not find your self in their line of sight.
