That's all.
ATi seems to be having driver issues of late, as reported at AnandTech:

But that is not an excuse for the kind of horrific experience we've had with every single other AMD solution when playing this game.....Maintaining a monthly driver release schedule is detrimental to AMD's ability to release quality drivers.......But when a major title like Far Cry 2 is released to incredibly poor driver support, it is time to wake up and realize that something is wrong......we do see a lot more issues with AMD drivers than NVIDIA...And now it is time for AMD to learn from their mistakes and change over to a more manageable and sensible driver release policy....
In answer to the OP:

EVGA Core 216s on sale dirt cheap at newegg this weekend, my guess is they'll go fast.

Very nice review Mike. That 216 looks pretty sweet.

Besides the already linked DH review, Firingsquad have one up-

DH review again-

Firingsquad-

Again, I'd get the GTX 260 192 or 216SP and run it @ 660-700 on the core. You'll also get the added benefit of GPU PhysX in upcoming titles.

Just ordered an EVGA 260 216 with FarCry2 for $239 with free shipping. I just couldn't pass this up. Almost went ATI but looks like Nvidia in the end won out. My wife won't be too happy once she finds out .

Many thanks all for your replies and I have taken your excellent advice and bought the XFX GTX 260 (216) Black Edition. That should tide me over till Direct X 11!

I will forever buy Nvidia mid/ high range cards from this day forth!

No more stuttering, just lovely smooth PC gaming goodness!!

Thanks to you all my Nvidia brethren!!
