Iīm not feeling comfortable with the controls either. Neither with the gamepad or mouse + keyboard.

The mouse-aim, when targeting, is certainly slow as heck. I wish there was a way to change that. I wish the tweakguides guy did this game over...

In Game vsync off? Mine is pretty snappy.

Yes, it is off. The regular mouse movements and menus are fine, it's just when he holds the weapon out for precise aiming... much slower than with the 360 pad.

No, I run with a rather generic mouse. I guess I could try upping the sensitivity in windows, but then all my other games will be off... not to mention the desktop.

oh i see.
Ummm, have you tried putting the ingame sensitivity higher? i know the lookin around may be a bit too quick, but does it change the aiming? If it doesnt, yea i guess your only hope will be to set windows to higher

Yeah, the regular mouse look changes with the in-game setting, but not the precise aiming. There might be something I am missing, I only just loaded the game up for a short while last night, but I'll try windows if I can't figure out something else.

That's really odd. I just loaded mine to double check and my turn speed is about the same whether aiming or not. I don't know if there's much to miss.

I'm playing with in-game vsync off, ccc vsync forced, all in game visuals set to max @ 1680x1050 and mouse sensitivity at just about the 50% mark on the slider, using a G5.

Hope something there helps, it's too good a game to miss because of a setting.

I followed this this guys (bjornvil) advise from a forum called giantbom:

"I downloaded Xpadder, and only used it to map the analog sticks to the wasd keys (left stick) and the mouse (right stick), leaving all the buttons alone, and voila! problem solved! Needed to do a little tweaking to the sensitivity of the right stick to get the turn rate right, but now it plays like a dream and I am loving it! "

...and the controls with the 360 pad feels so much better now. Highly recommended for gamepad users

As a side note: Normally i donīt prefer gamepads over mouse+keyboard, but in this game i couldnīt get along with the m+k controls.

Just finished this one. Not bad. Although I hope it would maintained a slower more tense, horror pace with fewer monsters with higher hit points. Still was fun to read the comics, watch the movie then play the game. ::
