Hmm...
I wonder if it actually does anything or if they're just saying that to get people with fast computers to download the beta. ![]()

LOL, I searched for the term "directx" in the detailed list here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../dd335033.aspx and found this "951698 MS08-033: Vulnerabilities in DirectX could allow remote code execution" and this "927544 FIX: You cannot create an AVI file that is larger than approximately 512 GB, and you cannot play back an AVI file that is larger than approximately 800 GB by using DirectX" So much for DirectX improvements. Still I somehow know the fanboys are gonna scream OMG VistaSP2 my FPS skyrocketed!!111!

Ive been running beta builds of Sp2. Its alot faster, uses alot less memory than SP1 or Pre Sp1. Definitely worth the DL. They have implemented some of the things Windows 7 does.
![]() Updating to this one now actually... |

You must've missed this one: Adds new capabilities to Direct X Graphic display reliability. The graphics experience has been greatly improved for users, such as gamers, running applications that require a lot of graphics processing.

i once made AVI that was close to 400GB, once you work with uncompressed DV source you can hit that high
![]() you can't compress HDV source in realtime on most PCs, so you have to capture uncompressed and then later get it converted

Wanted to try it out, but the 64Bit link doesn't seem to be working.
[edit] I guess it was just temporarily down for 1 minute..
