So will this go out of date and have to be removed or will the real SP2 simply over write it once it comes out?

I just installed this. Mem usage is down. Just looking at my sir Real display on G15 it's around 25% less. As for speed. My Vista install is only a few months old, so it was already pretty fast. CPU seems to be doing more though. As is HDD. :

Does the disc access seem faster? That's the only thing on our laptop that blows ass with Vista. I know it's a slower 5400 rpm drive but come on the access is kinda poopy when starting up a game or installing.

I'm going to wait a little. I can't wait for final release. I'm sure this probably will speed up a lot for laptop. I really can't wait for Windows 7.

After attempting to install I get a 0xc004f013 error message and it says it failed to install.
