Performance looks promising so far, though I'm more interested in compatibility and "smoothness".

Hardocp strikes again with an excellent review! Anyone else think that it was a pretty dumb decision of nvidia to go with 448-bit gddr3? These cards should be the best cards for running 2560x1600 type of resolutions and the memory bandwidth of this card is just not up for it.

Maybe I should trust hardocp but their results seem to vary greatly from all the other benchmarks I've seen.

That's because some settings suit one card better than the other. HardOCP eliminates this by using the highest playable settings of each game on each card. This way you get a much more realistic picture of what kind of a gaming experience you'll get with each card.
