No

I think you're right about the drivers. Too early for a fair test yet. Also FSB/CPU overclocking helps SLI out hugely.

As I said.. i cant answer performance questions until the actual launch. I am only allowed to say I have it and I am working alot of benches for it.

I find the benefit of 8x AA to be very marginal, and I would much rather have a less choppy gameplay experience. Maybe if I had an insanely high dot pitch like in the old CRT days I would appreciate 8x more like I used to, but I find you have to look way to closely to see the minor differences now. The only modes that I really notice a huge difference over 4x are true supersampling modes which help greatly by reducing shader aliasing. Everyone has their own threshold as to what they deem smooth.

I don't need a review to pick and choose settings for me to skew things the way they like. I prefer charts and then I find the settings that I play at.

They are just choosing the best settings both cards can run. They are not telling you what settings you should be using!

Say that 8xAA in FC 2 would run like **** on an 4870x2, but 4xAA would run two times better - now which of the two do you think the reviewer should focus on?

This is good. I think GTX280 price will drop another $50, and it's time to pick third one for Tri SLI which should give me nice boost in the game

Pay close attention to the min frames on this card. More often than not, that makes it look quite attractive. It's not a clean sweep and it's pretty surprising in some cases.

Personally, I'd rather something like a card with a 70FPS average and a 30FPS min than a card with a 85FPS average and a 14FPS min. Low mins = slow downs you feel and often stutter as well. What I'm saying is I'd gladly lose the average FPS war if I was always above 30FPS.

I'm sorry but did you even look at the graphs they posted? The low mins of the 4870x2 lasted for about one millisecond.

I just don't get it. Some reviewers show the 295 GTX clearly ahead of the 4870X2 while others show the exact opposite.

According to the graph the 4870x2's framerate was well below 40 for around 10 seconds, where as the GTX295 only dropped below 60 for maybe 2 seconds. Even the 260 only dropped to around 35 for a second at most.

Are we looking at the same graph?

After suffering through the 9800GX2, I'll definitely PASS on this card...

One thing I haven't seen though from a price/performance standpoint are benches against GTX260 core 216 in SLI?!?!?!
