I plan buying a new card. But don't know which one. 8800 GTX, 9800 GTX or the GTX 260? You can find good prices on the 8800 GTX and the 9800 GTX. But wouldn't the GTX 260 be alot better and faster card?

Even with the CPU you have right now, it wouldn't behoove you to buy any 8800 or 9800 GPU, as the GTX 260 can be had for $250 or less brand new. You'll be CPU limited, but at least you wouldn't need to replace your GPU again when you upgrade your other components.

the cards besides the gtx 260 wouldnt be enough of an improvement over your current card to be worth the investment. I'd get the gtx 260 and overclock you're current cpu as much as you can until you want to upgrade everything else. tis what I am doing

You can get a MSI GTX 260 (192) for $199 and you will see a big improvement even with your CPU.You can get a (216) version of the GTX 260 for $247,but I would just get the $199 version and save up for a better CPU. You can overclock the GTX 260 (192) version and make up the difference .You have a powersupply that is plenty to run a GTX 260 .IMO that is what I would get the MSI for $199 or the Evga SSC for $229 ($219with rebate) plus you get a free game with it FarCry2 and they have great customer support along with there life time warranty and the 90 day step-up program. You want regret it compared to those other cards.
