So what's the actual release date for PC on this one? Looking forward to this one since getting into GTA:SA.

Saints Row 2, developed by Volition, Inc., is currently available on PS3, Xbox 360, while the PC version will launch January 5, 2009.

The PC version was delayed because we wanted to make the highest quality game across all platforms, but it just needed more time. The game is a port of the console version from an external company, but that doesn’t mean the code can just be copied over, and ship it out. One other time factor is coordinating the new control scheme from controller to mouse/keyboard. While the 360 controller will be fully supported for PC play, you will also be able to map your keyboard / mouse controls as you see fit.

There will also be a small interface change for Multiplayer. The PC version requires a little more information when connecting through a server browser. You'll now see each player's Ping, the number of players in a specific match, match names, and the ability to sort by modes (360/PS3 has this as well, but they have to create a party first).

A final addition for the PC version is adjustable video settings for aspects such as anti-aliasing, resolution, and more.

Our goal is to give PC users the same quality product and performance level which you’ve seen on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, along with all of the review feedback. You will not have any features missing from the game if you purchase the PC version as opposed to a console version, the entire game is packed in.

i agree those shots better be of some Ultra-Low settings, that looks 100 times worse then GTA4

The game looks altogether... far worse then GTA4. But its not about the graphics when it comes to Saints Row, rather its all about how over the top silly it is. It's not like GTA where its trying to create a realistic world...

BTW, Those are prealpha as in before the game released on consoles... if you wana judge what the game looks like just look at the final console version and imagine it with AA and sharper textures but the over all graphics stay the same.
