I am trying to install the driver for the GeForce 200 series on an ubuntu machine, but when I type
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.13-pkg1.run it give me this error message: sh: NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.13-pkg1.run: No such file or directory the file I downloaded from here (http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_d...32_177.82.html) is called NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.13-pkg1.run am i doing something wrong? |

I don't know if you're pasting the wrong URL if you're getting the filename from somewhere else, but the page you gave contains the latest stable version and an installer named NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.82.pkg1.run. Maybe you should check with Ubuntu's package manage for the nvidia-glx-new package. It should contain what you need.

my bad, I was accidentally using an old installer, but even when I download a fresh one from the page I linked it doesn't work. What is this GLX thing I need, and where can I find it?
EDIT: I found GLX's but not GLX-new. I got them, but it still won't work. |

Are you using a 64bit os? You'll need the 64bit installer - http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_d...64_177.82.html
