Default Disable TV Out

Hi

I'm running my Geforce PCX 5750 on Linux with the nvidia-drivers-173.14.15 and nvidia-settings-169.07.

My TV has only one AV port, yet I have two devices (Linux and Wii) connected to it. In order to have only one signal on the TV's AV port at a time, I'm looking for a way to disable the TV out of the 5750.

I haven't found any such setting with nvidia-settings and the nvtv tool doesn't recognize the card. (I guess it relies on the Open Source nvidia drivers.)

Any idea how I can turn the TV out on and off? Or as an alternative turn the entire Geforce PCI card on and off?

Thanks a bunch!

There is no way to do that. There might be switch boxes which do what you want but when using such a device there is a big risk that the videocard won't detect that a tv is attached. Perhaps it would be better to use a RF modulator to add an extra video input to your tv.

I've got a switch already, just wanted to get rid of it and switching the video card instead. Guess I'll have to wait for the TV to die :-)
