Unhappy what does binutils mean

l get this message saying you need binutils or something anyone can tell me pzl

get them from here:
ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/devel/binutils/


tho its rather strange that you do not have them installed if you have some sort of compiler which needs them, ld, etc

nvidia installer must be run as root

It means you must be logged as "root" (and not as a user) to be able to install the drivers.
