Euro release on the 22nd of this month.

Any opinions on this? Alot of people raving about this one

I suspect that many MMO gamers like me approach new releases with some caution as there have many too many MMO’s in the past 2 years that have not lived up to expectations. I will wait a couple of months before diving in. To be honest I do not know too much about the game other than that it is fairly hardcore. Will there be any PvE servers?

I heavily recommend this to anyone who wants a difference in there mmorpgs. This one requires actual skill, if you want an idea with how combat will work, check out Mount & Blade.

hah! Skill! Isn't that what they all say? Skill in what exactly? If skill is understanding stratagies and being able to react to events going on around you then eq, wow, and guild wars have all had that. If you think skill is one who can click a pattern of button presses the best...well you can have it friend.

The site is crap.... the visuals are passable in a guild wars way but imo if it wants my attention, it needs to take the initiative. The front page should be loaded with reasons why I should pause WoW and take notice of this game. Especially class balance since this is where %99 of mmo rpg's fail.

When I mean skill, I mean actual skill. Not see who can cast there sequence of spells the best or like WoW where you just select each other and start kicking each others shins until one of them falls off! Like the Jedi Knight series where you have to swing correctly and you have to move around to avoid damage. Like I said play Mount & Blade for an accurate representation.

This game almost makes you think its not an MMORPG.

Then you could call Darkfall something else. If you refuse to do that then prepare to see the first one to prove you wrong.

If your going to insult the game, at least use a proper comparison. AoC failed because of lack of completion, Darkfall is more complete then any other mmo release has even been. They had to delay because they were not prepared for the increase in popularity in such a short time. They need room for 200,000 people and they only have a single 10,000 pop server. Once they get that sorted they will release.
