Anyone else getting low HD scores in Windows 7 with seagate drives? Probably just because it's a beta, but all my scores went up compared to Vista with that being the exception.

or it could be normal, considering scores might have been adjusted taking SSD into consideration

I don't think a 3.0 is normal The scores go up to 7.9 now anyway.

My main drive got a 6.0 so I'm pretty sure something is wrong with your score.

Like I said it's something with seagate drives, WD and many others don't have the score issue.

Yeah, my old seagate 320gb 7200.10 scores just 3.0. I got a new 320gb 7200.11 but I'm using vista x64 on that one.

Probably the awful read and write times. When I used my 320GB seagate I got 3.0 but if you look in the performance folder where the scores are recorded the read and write times sucked compared to my WD 640AAKS. So I ran some Sandra and sure enough the read and write times were slower than my other HDs.

WD 640GB AAKS $69 shipped at Newegg, FTW.

Sounds like they need to tweak their scores. I would think a 7200.11 drive with 32mb cache should get way higher than a 6. And yeah the 7200.10 drives with 16mb cache are older but a 3.0? Some 5200 rpm drives must get a 1... But I've seen some people with 7200.10 drives from other brands that were getting higher than a 3.

Well my same 320GB seagate that gets 3.0 in Windows7 was getting 5.7 in Vista. So whatever, it's just a rating doesn't mean anything anyways.
