Same here! Got a EVGA GTX 285 SSC Edition coming tomorrow.
![]() I am done with SLI stuttering and issues of the 9800gx2. I know the 295 is supposed to be better than the 9800gx2 but I still have definitely encountered less issues with out SLI than with. Besides I think this will be cool enough until the 300s come out.

XFX GeForce GTX 285 ordered for $359 from Newegg.com w00t! I was one of the guys that ordered that Buy.com $200 GTX 280 SSC and it's on backorder. Still considering leaving it on order in case I do get it so I can resell it for $300 or so. Then I almost pulled the trigger on the eVGA GTX 285 SSC but ran across that XFX $30 off today only deal @ Newegg, so couldn't see spending $70 more for a little more speed. Can't wait to get the GTX 285, will be my first non-EVGA card since the FX 5900 and my first ever XFX card, hope I made a good choice!

Here is a quick question. Does the Gigabyte GTX295 or the XFX GTX295 include an 8pin connector? My PSU has only one which is already used for my CPU!

LOL
. Indeed indeed. My PSU has 2x6 pin for PCI-E 2.0 so the GTX295 that i'll get should already have the 8pin connector (or an 8 pin adapter) included!

I don't do SLi or do I really plan too (at least for the next 6 months)... would I be better off with the GTX 285 or the GTX 295? (also take into consideration my current rig and driver issues that may or may not exist with the 295). If I can get even more time out of my current rig by getting a new video card I would be pretty happy... I don't yet feel the need to go Core i7 yet
Also keep in mind I have a 650W power supply. Thats probably starting to push it these days ![]()

8800 GTX was the card I was just using prior to my recent upgrade. Now that I'm using 295s, I experience no MS and the fps I'm getting are simply hands down impressive. Crysis Warhead and Crysis are officially OWNED!
