I agree, this game is making a slow comeback, well, hopefully...

I have resubbed to check things out. It's running smooth and they did ad some content and a new zone for 55-63, which is the level range I was feeling a grind in.

Id consider MMOs like these if they didn't for some reason think they could charge the same prices as king warcraft. Hell I consider and love guild wars because its free! It may lack the persistant world and comunity WoW has amassed, but its still fun as hell, looks good, MMO, and dosnt cost a dime to keep playing.

Yimir's Pass is brilliant. Loads of quests and what's more, when you do the Amphitheater in Yimir's Pass in Epic mode, you get Blue drops which are level 6X drops but, are just as good as some level 80 blue drops found in Epic Keshetta.

loads of people are coming back to AOC after Warhammer fail and Darkfall Delay, EU server CROM after the merge is "full"!!

Funcom sincer the game director "switch" is working great,adding content and fixing end game like pvp and siege battles...
Directx10,resource-pvp and 3 new istances(2high leve and 1 mid level) and other stuff is on the Test server,on the way for release.

If you Can give AOC another try,at least 1 month..

The graphic engine has been optimized and it's now smoother and faster.

As in doing the quests/missions alone? i manage to get up to lvl 41(ranger)by playing mostly alone(started a new character though)

I bought AoC on release date, loved it even then ... I only stopped playing becasue the server i was on started losing players FAST, if the players are comming back i might pop AoC back out!

I think Funcom should offer everybody a new FREE 1 months trial.

It is in pVE

PVP you get a lot of gankers. Anyway, single player depends on the class you choose. It's ironical that in this game, the barbarian is the weakest (Conan?) and the mages which are healing class are too powerful. In PVP healers have the ability to one shot most others. The balance needs work but, I still play it

Since the mergers, you get a bucketload of people all the time. There are only I think 3 servers in US now!

The game is singleplayer user friendly in PVE servers,in pvp servers you have,as mentioned,pvp everywhere so gankers,lamers,PKs
Now the servers are very well populated thanks to the merge,the game is increasing constantly in stability and content,AOC needs more balance between classes,more end-game tweaks but they are working well,new patch on the test server has 1miles long patch notes eheh

I just hope they buff the barbarian so this class has more survivability. I played PvP in the border or was it Kush with my level 80 barb. I was one shoted by HoX and even though I got a PoM with CC's and all combos to like 5% health, the PoM generated back to 90% health and then with a couple of shots..killed me. Ridiculous! The buffs need to be made in the bezerker tree....as I hate being forced to a reaver build...

And I have never had any instability problems with AoC...works flawlessly with my 295!
