Resolution Suddenly Stuck at 640x480
For what seems to be no particular reason, Xorg refuses to work at any resolution other than 640x480 with the nVidia drivers. It has always worked for me, and then suddenly after a reboot today I have inch-wide icons. If I set the driver in xorg.conf back to nv, it works again, but then of course I don't have 3D. Under Windows I'm still getting my native resolution of 1680x1050 on my 22" LCD. Reinstalling the drivers doesn't make any effect. Restarting doesn't work either. It seems for some reason the nvidia driver can't tell that my screen is actually much bigger than 640x480, when the nv driver has no problem working out the right resolution.
Any ideas on what the hell caused this, and how I can fix it?
