The step-up does not offer any kind of "deal" to the consumer. I feel that it would have been more beneficial to sell the card on ebay and buy a new card somewhere else. The step-up program sucks, if anyone is learning towards evga because of this marketing scheme, think again.
Which card? Remember that new cards (like 285/295) are sometimes extremely limited.

Also, if you sell your card on ebay, there is no way that you could back what you paid.

Not at all, the reason he hasn't moved much in 1 week is because there is limited inventory. Once more comes in he will move very quickly.
