Default Re: GTX 285 96C in Furmark okey ?

Just got the HAF 932 and absolutely love it so thanks for the input guys, the best case ever and now temp is as it should with my GTX 285. 85C in Furmark under full load and the Fan is little over 80% I think when I checked in Rivatuner so it's all good and have it now at 720-1620/1380 mhz

And today I ordered Corsair 1000W PSU as you recomended as my 520W Corsair chokes under Intelburntest+Furmark so now I should be redy for any heavy games

In the states this isn't a bad way to go for people that want to get on X58-

GIGABYTE UD3R for 185usd with rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128375

i7 920 for 290usd
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115202

Crucial DDR3 1333 ram, grab 3 2Gb sticks @ 33usd a pop.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148221

If you're staying on a 32bit OS you can get 3 x 1Gb for 46usd total
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148245

They do have some DDR3 1600 6Gb kits out there for around 135usd.

I don't know what would be the least expensive path in Sweden.

Okey nice prices there and sure the prices in Sweden starts to drop to so I may save up some cash and go for it

But I probably wait and see what the upcoming 6 cores 32nm will do or just slap in another GTX 285 later on, aah these decisions hehe.
Anyway im happy as it is for now and the Corsair 1000W PSU will arrive next week so it will do for a while!

Holy crap that new Furmark Xtreme Burning Mode makes my GPU1 temp go CRAZY..... maxed out at around 105c, and its a cool day today

It kept running fine for about 5mins then I stopped it, but I wouldn't like leaving it at that temp for a long time..

GPU2 maxed out at 85c.

That board doesn't have the SLI chip in it, though. You can use a GTX 295, yes, but that's the extent of multi-GPU with an NVIDIA card you can achieve on that board. According to Gigabyte's site, an SLI version of the UD3R is coming. Hopefully it won't be outrageously more expensive than the non-SLI part.

Wow just ran this on my system (spec below), think I have serious air flow issues.

With the side of the case on I've gone up to 90c in about 5 min's.
with it off I'm running at 76c.

I'm really surprised how bad the air flow is, as it's a full tower with a very clean install. Going to have to look at getting a front fan installed.

edit...

Idle temps have also dropped with the side off from 55c to 41c, now that's a big difference..

I have an 8800 GTX SLI setup, the Top card reached 94c and the bottom topped out at about 85c. Gaming the highest was 82c/78c. They used to run at the same temps now the top card runs hotter.
