Now see, I'm deciding between XFX and EVGA for the GTX 285. Either I get Far Cry 2 + COD5 + warranty + warranty for next owner with XFX or I get Vantage + Step Up + warranty + maybe voltage tuner. I see you've overclocked. Highest GTX 285 I've seen was 750MHz/2850MHz or thereabouts. You're edging close.

Decisions, decisions...

I have not even tried to OC this thing much either yet... lol. I am just barely above the SSC stock clocks it came with. Mine came with COD:World at War as well. Later on this week if I have time I think I will see how far I can push this puppy OC wise I'll keep you posted if you care.

Hehe, nice. If you want, it doesn't matter. I can just look at your sig. I think I'm going to grab the EVGA SC. It is only $5 more than the standard clocked, I get COD5, Vantage, Step Up, Lifetime Warranty, and maybe even a voltage tuner! With XFX I get FC2, which I don't really like, and double lifetime warranty. I don't think I'll sell this card for a long time; I might as well get a new rig by then.

some tv's will accept non native resolutions and downconvert/upconvert them like 720p to 1080p and so on but 1280x1024 is more of a pc monitor resolution

Not optimally. Your image is either cropped or stretched (since your TV is 16:9 and 1280x1024 is a 5:4 ratio), and it is downconverting it of course, which degrades quality somewhat.

Right, not optimally. I was just saying that it does work on some TVs; it converted my computer resolution of 1680x1050 signal to a computer resolution of 1280x1024 and not a HD resolution, like 1280x720. It is a POS HDTV, too, so I'm not sure.

HWMonitor shows about 3 degrees C higher than Core Temp 0.99.5 for some reason. I believe both are set at Tj Max 100.

Got my new (refurbished) Dell 3008WFP monitor and thought I would see how my rig faired at 2560 x 1600 with Vantage performance test.
