Bought my copy at Gamestop locally. Didn't have steam or live, so installation was kind of a pain in the ass. But done now and it runs very well, no problems for me. Just started with the campaign.

Anyway, for those wondering the new nVidia drivers, whose number I forget and am too lazy to look up, allowed me to crank everything to ultra, as well as physics, with no crashes (a brief freeze once, but nothing else).

I really, really love the game. I am amazed so few are commenting on it.

Yep have to agree, would give this game a massive thumbs up, I'm surprised it's not hugely commented and probably stickied but oh well. I'm enjoying the heck out of this game!!!

It's diablo meets dawn of war...minus the base building, but oh well, it's awesome!! Full coop campaign!!! WOOOH!!!

Oh yea, HAWX out March 11 if you read the steam update!!! That's also full coop!

WOOOH LET THE NEXT FEW MONTHS OF HARDQOR GAMIN BEGIN!!!

I think it's a Relic thing. Their games all start with a slow boil and rely a lot on word of mouth and spread quickly.

Not played any game until DoW 2 that requires steam. But funny enough I did download the Empire Total War demo right after which also required steam.

Anyway, agree with the others DoW 2 is great! Great graphics; the explosions, destruction of terrain, animations and overall graphics design. The small number of units allows for greater control and connected feel for the units, with RPG qualities.

I always get low rating on speed, but I like to take my time in single player. :P

I have to agree, this is a fantastic game, first game for a long time that I can't stop playing, and I buy a lot of games! It's got that rpg addictiveness with all the gear and leveling up you do.

Wow, I can't wait to get home and start kickin arse in this game again. It's pretty cool, it makes you want to get to the next level like rpgs do.

Very fun, and I'm playing on old drivers @ ultra with Vista 64bit. There was an update I got through steam so I think they patched it right away.

I didn't play the first a whole lot, but I know enough about it to know this is a completely different game. It's more Company of Heroes minus base building and control points, plus RPG elements.

Yep, but, being an absolutely monster at the old game (i've played a lot of hours of DoW + expansions save the latest one) I have really liked the transition the game has taken, it puts more emphasis on the characters and less on building a minarsive expendible army.
