Windows 7 Build 7057 x86

Please report on the speed and stability of the build.

I have it on my msdn subscription, I think, but I'm not going to bother with any more beta builds till RC1 or final.

Great build so far. Speed and reliability have been fantastic. I didn't have any problems with 7048 x64, but this build feels just as stable.

What were some of the problems you had with 7048? Did you ever run build 7000 x64? 7048 insatlled just fine for me on hardware not all that different from your own.

first Crysis was a headache to get running at all or to install properly at all took me 3 re-installs and still it was not running good at all.
Warhead was easier to intall as was FC2 and then i didn´t find the windows mail in it...is it there yet?
I mean like outlookexpress and windows mail in Vista is it in W7?

well it just didn´t wanna seem to work for me, so i did try it out a couple of times and it just didnt feel right.

Now i know the difference is little to non in 7057 but i had heard so much good about 7 and when i tie it i get trouble more than joy out of it so i thought it head to do with the BETA since it was a beta and still is.
So likeintle chipset drivers are there any that work with this yet?

well i might give it a go shall i install it on a different disk or shall i make another partition on that 1TB Black disk?

I have not experienced any of the problems you are describing, so I don't know that I can be of much help. Any of the games I have tried installing have worked just fine. Did you try running the setups in Vista compatibility mode? Which drivers are you using for your ATI card? Have you installed the latest Catalyst 9.2, or are you using the default drivers from the Windows 7 installation? Also, to touch on the windows mail application -- download windows live. It comes with windows live mail, which is being used to replace the default mail application.

As for your chipset drivers, my intel chipset drivers install just fine on Windows 7. Run the installation in vista compatibility mode just to be safe.

which intel drivers are you using?
also can i install 2 different os´s on 1 disk, partitions in 2 or 3 parts?
i used the 9.2 catalyst
shall i use vista,vista SP1 for comp. mode?

I download the latest autoinstall from intel's website. Yeah, if you partition your hard drive you can install multiple operating systems. I used Vista SP2 for compatibility mode.

everything runs well so far, just one thing really bothers me. for some reason everytime i boot the system optical drive don't show up.

have to go to device manager and scan for hardware, then optical drive gets installed.
