Default linux and vivo

Hello All
I have a Nvidia card that has video in and video out. There is lots of info online about using the video out portion but I am unable to find anything about video in. I did find old posts that says you can't do that in Linuc but they were many years old. RivaTV is also many years old and I'm pretty sure doesn't support my card.

So my question is has there been any work on getting video in to function on Linux? Is so could someone point me at a how to are other information please.

Rivatv was the only way and it didn't work well in combination with the nvidia drivers. There is no other method. I would recommend to get a basic tv card to do the capturing for you.
