Very nice. I'm going to get one myself. They run cooler and need less volts.

Well my problem definitely seems to be that the mobo doesn't like OCing 6 dimms. The RAM all checks out fine, and booting with 3gb of either set is no problem.

Also, booting with 6 dimm at stock speeds is stable.

It's just when I try to get 6 sticks to boot w/ OC, I fail at C1 code and get beeping. I tried bumping the QPI PLL incrementally all the way to 1.5, but no avail.

Stable settings for 3.8ghz at boot (4.02ghz with Turbo in Vista)

I used that feature for the QX9650 but my i7 doesn't have a really noticeable VDroop.

I use the vdroop feature...it helped a lot.

I also use LLC. It does help to a stabilize an overclock.

I think I have the golden chip.

I can boot 4.0 at 1.25vcore...

4.2 now with 1.283, HT and Turbo on. Too bad I can't get my ****ing ram to work with 6 sticks.

I'd say it's more related to the Motherboard, than the Ram itself. Keep playing with those settings. Also keep the bios up to date.

Hopefully a new bios will make the mobo like 6 full dimms more. I know that others are using 6 on this board with different RAM, I feel like I've tried just about every possible combo.

Finally got in!!! I had to loosen my timings a bit... 9-9-9-28-88-2T.
