Default xbacklight, fn keys and acpi on linux

I'm currently testing ubuntu jaunty, I'm using the b4 nvclock, that is working well, but I'm not able to make the fn keys working, acpi scripts have been removed from /etc/acpi/events... since jaunty

Sorry thunderbird, but as I have no answer on launchpad, I try here to have some answers, and understand, how is the support for nvidia planed under jaunty. Final release should be next month, and at the moment fn keys nor acpi is working...

For me nvclock is working well from command line...

Thumbs down Re: xbacklight, fn keys and acpi on linux

Ubuntu acpi team is trying to fix this
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/ja...il/+bug/345531

Bug I guess there will be a problem, because smartdimmer binary is only in the nvclock package that is outdated (b3) where only b4 is working for >geforce8 cards...

Whould it be possible to include smartdimmer or nvclock like binary in the linux-driver binary package to set xbacklight ??
