Core i7 Overclocking thread - Page 9

Well I tried speed step and the C-state option, and indeed it does seem to work. No problem running OCCT for an hour. The speed doesn't change much, but the voltages go way down... like to 1.14Vcore at times, at 4ghz.

Do you mean what are my voltages set to, or do you mean what are my temps reading?

does that EVGA utility work only with EVGA boards?

tried lowering to 3.8, still can't get this ****ing thing stable in games, after 30-60 minutes of play it just freezes, no error, no BSOD nothing.

Turning off hyperthreading may help stability... but you must be close. There's just a lot of variables.

What batch is your chip?
